Mayor’s Message
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and holiday. According to the weather bureau, we are getting hit with a major snowstorm calling for anywhere from 8 inches to 10 inches. Please, residents remove your vehicles from the street, especially in the Angelo Drive area where it's pretty tough for our plows to get through. I'm asking fellow residents to please check on their elderly neighbors and help each other out. Our DPW crews are an incredible force and do the best jobs they can, so please help them out by removing your vehicles off the streets. Also, folks with fire hydrants near their houses, please shovel them out. My fellow residents, our police department will be out there with their PA systems asking you to remove your vehicles. We are not looking to tow vehicles, and do not want to issue tickets, but we will if we have to. Again, this is the Village of Montgomery where we all work together. The Village of Montgomery is a great place to live, raise a family and help each other out during snowstorms. Thank you.

The Village of Montgomery is a quaint historic village with a strong sense of community and a picturesque location along the Wallkill River. The NY Forward downtown area is compact and walkable, containing a high concentration of historic buildings, businesses and civic and cultural amenities. The NY Forward projects will develop new housing options; improve connectivity among the Village’s downtown parks and green spaces; improve streetscape safety and walkability; preserve historic structures; and expand childcare facilities.
