PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montgomery on April 1, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Montgomery Senior  Center, 36 Bridge Street, Montgomery, New York regarding the adoption of a Local Law for the fiscal year 2025-2026 which would override General Municipal Law §3-c, which requires that all local municipalities cap their allowable tax levy growth at the lesser of two percent (2%) or the rate of inflation defined as the average monthly national Consumer Price Index calculated by the U.S. Labor Department for the 12-month period ending six months prior to the start of the fiscal year.

Any person is entitled to be heard upon said proposed Local Law at such public hearing.  Copies of said proposed Local Law are available for review at:
